Ola Pilerot, senior lecturer at the Swedish School of Library and Information Science (SSLIS), University of Borås, teaches and publishes within the field of information practices and information literacies. He is a member of the Linnaeus Centre for Research on Learning, Interaction and Mediated Communication in Contemporary Society (LinCS) at the University of Gothenburg and the University of Borås, and of the International Information Literacies Research Network (iilresearch). Pilerot is also regional editor (Western Europe) of the journal Information Research, and a member of the Information practices research group at SSLIS.
Before joining SSLIS, Pilerot was deputy library director at Skövde University College. His main area of research interest concerns information literacies in academia and scholarly information practices. In his doctoral thesis he explored the information practices of design research scholars and in particular their information sharing activities.
